Hello, Iā€™m Devon Whitmore, the Community Advocate with DEAF, Inc. My area of focus is within communication access. First, DEAF, Inc. thank you for your patience as we adjust to changes due to COVID-19. We hear you and we are here for you.

We, at DEAF, Inc., are committed to monitoring and keeping you informed to things pertaining COVID-19.  Collaboratively, deaf organizations and agencies across Missouri want to get the same message across to you. On your part, we need you to remain diligent/proactive in protecting yourself and to take measures against spreading to others.

The Governor of Missouri has issued a Stay-At-Home Order. As of Monday, April 6th, the Stay-At-Home order is to continue until April 25. The Order is to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

What does this mean? It means one is encouraged to stay at home except to leave to go to work, grocery shopping for essentials, pick up medication(s) Rx, gas, and other important needs. When exiting your home, it is recommended you wear a mask, preferably an N95, and gloves, for your own protection and for the protection of others.

Social distancing of at least 6 feet is expected at all places outside of the home. Pay attention to signage and environmental markings. If you are with your family, it is recommended only 1 person per family enter the facility. When in public, discard gloves, wipes, paper towels, in trash cans, not in carts or parking lots.

Please do frequently monitor for changes received from the Governor of Missouri, through Center for Disease Control (CDC) and your local government regarding to COVID-19 Stay-At-Home orders.

Please see links for more information at the end of this video. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to continue to support you.
