We’re proud to announce that the Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has selected DEAF, Inc. to coordinate the statewide DeafBlind Support Service Provider (SSP) Program from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. This opportunity strengthens our commitment to serving Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Hearing, and DeafBlind communitiesacross Missouri.
DeafBlind individuals are among the most underserved in our state. SSP services are essential for increasing access, fostering independence, and supporting full community inclusion. SSPs are specially trained professionals who serve as sighted guides, relay visual and environmental information, and assist DeafBlind individuals in navigating daily activities safely and independently.
These services remove barriers and open doors—from running errands and attending appointments to participating in community events.
If you’re a DeafBlind Missourian who could benefit from SSP services, please reach out to us at ssp@deafinc.org. We’re here to support you.
