Dear Community,
DEAF, Inc. has a tremendous obligation to continue to do business and fulfill our mission of supporting our deaf and hard of hearing community and ensuring access to communication. It is essential that we continue to do this while also ensuring the safety of our employees, visitors, and others.
COVID-19 AND SOCIAL DISTANCING
There continues to be much concern about the potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and the uncertainty it is causing. One of the guidelines for limiting its impact includes “social distancing” to help protect yourself and others.
DEAF, INC. IS GOING REMOTE
All DEAF, Inc. Staff will continue to work remotely until further notice. Your experience will be seamless, though. We will be fully available as usual by videophone/phone and by email. Our work to promote access to communication will continue as diligently and passionately as ever.
We are closely monitoring the local, state, and federal responses to the pandemic. We will be updating our strategy as developments progress.
COMMUNICATION ACCESS – WORKING FROM HOME
If you now are facing that situation – transitioning to working from home and cannot participate in virtual meetings – we are here to help you with your needs. We want to make sure you have access to communication so you can successfully work from home. This is our top priority. Our Interpreting Department is ready to help! Contact our Coordinators at (314) 968-8868 or by an email to interpreting@deafinc.org. Our Interpreting Department will continue to provide 24/7 live, in-person Interpreting Services.
