Teen Institute

A Summer Camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teens

Teen Institute (TI) is a 6-day training camp that teaches Deaf and Hard of Hearing teens to be education and prevention advocates among their peers. The curriculum focuses on drug and alcohol abuse prevention, bullying awareness, and other issues critical to teenagers. Participants will leave TI equipped to promote alcohol and drug abuse prevention in their home, school, and community. Teen Institute is a collaborative effort between DeafLEAD and the Department of Mental- Health –Division of Behavioral Health.
