On October 11, 2009, four St. Louisian women founded a breast cancer support group called Pink Wings of Hope. Its mission is to provide support for all deaf and hard of hearing breast cancer victims and survivors. This group now has taken a mission to educate the deaf community about breast cancer. Pink Wings of Hope also have their own website to increase breast cancer awareness.
