Mission

The mission of Deaf Empowerment Awareness Foundation, Inc. is to dedicate themselves to reducing discrimination, bias, and oppression towards deaf and hard of hearing people by providing them with tools and methods that allow them to empower themselves and lead more productive lives, both personally and professionally. The Deaf Empowerment Awareness Foundation, Inc., promotes understanding and respect among all races, religion, and cultures by providing a confluence of advocacy, communications, conflict resolution, education, interpreting, technology, and visual arts.

Of, By and For the Deaf

DEAF Inc. is a non-profit organization established by deaf individuals who wish to improve access to services for the deaf. Our primary method of funding for these services is through providing interpreting services. We also seek donations from individuals and entities who wish to assist us in our mission. We are committed to enhancing the quality of interpreting services, while providing the most affordable services possible. We believe that if interpreting services are enhanced and are reasonable in price, that the deaf and hearing communities will all benefit through clear communication.

As a charitable organization, DEAF Inc. is not focussed on making profits. Instead, 100% of all proceeds, after administrative expenses, go to programs designed to personally empower the deaf and educate our deaf and hearing communities about issues related to deafness.
